Do you make pieces in solid gold?
Yes, we create all of our styles in 9, 12, 14 or 18k yellow, white and rose gold. Please email us for a quote!
Why is your jewellery so expensive?
Heart of Bone is a tiny, family run business. We source the best quality materials and use master stone setters to create out pieces, and painstakingly carve, cast, oxidize, polish and hallmark each of our pieces by hand. Our pieces aren’t just jewellery, they are works of art you can keep forever.
What is your jewellery-making process?
Emma sits at her desk most of the day carving wax from her crazy imagination to create the incredible designs you see. She then hands it to her brother Lenny who casts it into solid sterling silver. Lenny then spends up to 6 hours perfecting the metal master. A mould is then made of this master from which casts can be made. Each piece we cast is hand finished in the Heart of Bone Collingwood studio - oxidized, polished and hallmarked by hand. Each piece is unique and we are very proud to create and produce in Melbourne.
