"As a creative, artist, mother, woman, neurodivergent human and seeker of wisdom and knowledge I consider myself both blessed and cursed in equal measure. The path of an artist is not an easy one. It is fraught with both pleasure and pain. An unpredictable terrain in which there is often no map. An artists goal in many ways, I believe is in creating one's inner compass and navigating this terrain with intention and fearless tenacity always in search of beauty. My purpose of being as I come to understand, lays in the unique way in which I forge that path forward. Forever evolving in new ways and forever choosing to trust in the process. This is the power of art. The ability to turn pain into power, darkness into light and carry a certain conviction and consciousness in which to create control from the chaos. My world is its own living sculpture, one constantly evolving as I carve and mould it to meet the nature of my own unique and ever changing requirements. It is through this expression of my experience of evolution that I travel this path. It is on this quest that I gather the tools that life requires to conquer the conquests and reap the rewards of the war that is the artists way. My hands, the powerful weapons I wield, my hands, the tools in which I transmute the metaphysical into the physical.
It is here the battle is fought and won. Within.
It is here that I consider my gifts to be blessings and myself extremely fortunate that they are considered to be of value to others. It is here I rest and give thanks to all for shining light in the dark. For here, now, I am able to conjure beauty and interpret and manifest the magnitude of meanings in the multiverse and madness of things that churn and brew from deep within. It is with humility, true appreciation, endless gratitude and the magic of the child within me that these gifts come to life. It is with you all, that my vision of my world is seen and nurtured. You are my universe, as it is through you, that my art is given life. It is because of you that I am able to share the fruits of my labour. It is because of you that beauty takes form to grow. It is through you, my roots become strong and my branches extend and my leaves reach out to touch the stars and rustle in the wind. It is in this way that I become whole and at one with the universe.
It is in this realm of wonder that my creative spirit roams free. It is here that the fiery flames of my creativity burn so bright. Here in this place, that the glow from the smouldering embers find fuel. It is here, through the smoky haze of pure potential, that my eyes can see what my soul only whispers. It is here, in the glow from the cloak of the delight that through the cracks in everything the light gets in. It is here I choose to build my fortress. It is here that I foresee my future and here where I am able and willing to share the wealth of a life well lived. It is here my cup of knowledge overflows. It is here the wisdom is hunted and gathered. It is here that I cast my wishes into the world and my dreams and prayers are heard and granted.
It is here that my bones feel fortified. It is here I arrive and here I appreciate the view as I cast my gaze from the top of the mountain of the lived human experience that I have climbed to, through the fire and ice, heavy hail and gusty winds of doubt, uncertainty and longing that I find shelter from the storm. It is here that I cast my eye to the horizon, over the fertile fields of my dreams. It is here that the garden of my delights can grow. For it is here that I plant the seeds of my imagination deep in the earth below.
It is here I carve my own manifesto of self mastery. It is here, deep in my bones, that the thirst of my soul is quenched and my heart meets with my soul. It is here in this place, I understand the meaning of true desire.
This is my soul's kingdom, this is the place of my creative sovereignty. A kingdom purpose built with my own bare hands, brute force, determination, patience, passionate curiosity, self love and the fuel of fearless intention. This place I name Heart of Bone. This place is where magic is made...
